In the town of Shigaraki there is a place called the "Pottery Walk."
Narrow streets wind around a number of climbing kilns , which in their heyday were red wi thoutinterruption. There are houses and shops that have watched over the kilns for years. There are walls built of kiln props and saggars covered with ash from countlessrings. And there are pottery workshops that somehowmake us feel nostalgic.
The rst event of its kind, our theme this year is "Walk - Look - Discover." Some of the artists will display their work in old kilns and buildings along the Pottery Walk; others will create their own craft galleries.
Gourmet artists will operate hand-made cafes featuring their own tableware.
This spring, visit us in our traditional pottery village. Catch the new breeze as it blows through the streets. Bathe in the warm light as it is absorbed by old kiln bricks. Feel the town of Shigaraki.
